By enrolling in lessons, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are in place to help us work together and ensure a safe, positive, and supportive music community for everyone.

1. Enrolment

1.1 Enrolment is confirmed once a completed registration form has been received and accepted by MMS.

1.2 MMS reserves the right to decline or cancel enrolment at its discretion.

1.3 Students under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. Lessons and Scheduling

2.1 Lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis.

2.2 Lesson duration, type (private or group), and fees will be confirmed upon enrolment.

2.3 MMS reserves the right to adjust timetables, tutors, or lesson formats when required.

2.4 While we will do our best to accommodate preferred times, all scheduling is subject to availability.

3. Fees and Payment

3.1 Lesson fees are set by MMS and may be updated with reasonable notice.

3.2 Fees are payable in advance by week 2 of each term.

3.3 Students with overdue accounts may have lessons suspended until payment is received.

3.4 Non-attendance does not exempt payment obligations unless otherwise stated in these Terms.

4. Cancellations and Make-Up Lessons

4.1 Student cancellations:

• Student cancellations are non-refundable.
  
  

4.2 Teacher cancellations:

• If MMS cancels a lesson, a make-up lesson or credit will be offered.
  
  

4.3 Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and must be used within the term they are issued unless otherwise agreed.

4.4 Lessons will not be held on public holidays.

5. Termination

5.1 Either party may terminate enrolment with one week’s notice in writing, unless otherwise agreed.

5.2 MMS may terminate enrolment immediately for:

• Persistent non-payment
• Unsafe or inappropriate behaviour
• Breach of these Terms
  
  

6. Student Conduct

6.1 Students are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, other students, and the premises.

6.2 MMS reserves the right to remove any student whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate.

7. Health and Safety

7.1 Guardians must inform MMS of any medical conditions, learning needs, or risks that may affect participation.

7.2 Students are responsible for ensuring their own safety while onsite. MMS is not liable for injuries sustained onsite. Students attend lessons and participate in activities at their own risk.

8. Instruments and Materials

8.1 Students are responsible for providing and maintaining their own instruments unless otherwise arranged.

8.2 MMS is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings.

9. Recordings, Photography, and Media

9.1 MMS may occasionally photograph or record lessons, rehearsals, or performances for educational or promotional purposes.

9.2 Consent will be requested at enrolment. Students/guardians may choose to opt out.

10. Privacy

10.1 MMS collects personal information for enrolment, communication, and operational purposes.

10.2 Personal information will not be shared with third parties except where required by law or with consent.

11. Group Lessons and Performance Opportunities

11.1 Group lessons and performance activities are subject to minimum enrolment numbers.

11.2 MMS may modify or cancel groups where necessary.

12. Changes to Terms

12.1 MMS may update these Terms from time to time.

12.2 Updated Terms will be communicated to enrolled students prior to taking effect.
